International code of botanical nomenclature is the current (Vienna) code (2005). Check Blais for historical printed codes.

Phylocode is a draft set of formal rules governing phylogenetic nomenclature designed to name the parts of the tree of life by explicit reference to phylogeny.

Digital Libraries
- Biodiversity Heritage Library is maintained by a consortium of 12 major natural history museum libraries, botanical libraries, and research institutions.
- Botanicus is a digital library maintained by the Missouri Botanical Garden Library.
- Digital library of the Royal Botanic Garden of Madrid The periodical list is particularly good. The title browse is a bit odd.
- Europeana European digital library.
- Gallica Digital library of the Bibliothèque nationale de France.
- Google Books is Google’s effort (with some serious collaboration by research libraries) to digitize the world’s public domain literature. Serials a bit difficult to use.
- Internet Archive is an archive of digital cultural artifacts. Within it is contained the Biodiversity heritage library, the digital “biodiversity commons” being created by ten major natural history museum libraries, botanical libraries, and research institutions.
